Pictures on a Page
Harold Evans with Edwin Taylor
Heineman:London
Page 175
the now famous image of the monk Thich Quang Duc's self immolation in protest of the Vietnamese war, featured on the cover of rage against the machine's self tittled album. JFK said that "no news picture in history has generated so much emotion around the world as this one has". my  feelings about these pictures are a bit mixed, first i kind of like the fact that the were taken and the effect they had was obviously for the better, but as a way of protest it is very extreme..
