fatescapes 1968 saigon
page 8-9
i really liked the grainyness to picture, it was on at teo page spread and the image realy looked gritty and raw, wich guess reflects what life must of been like in Saigon in 1968. also i found the desolation interesting because it made me wonder why the streets were so empty of life, the only thing in the photo being the truck and that kind of seem out of place in such an enviroment.

this one i find hard to explane why i like so much
i think its the way all the bins are lined up against the wall, all of them have been graffitied on, with the stadium in background wich kind of looks like its crowning this area.. i noticed it says "ask jazzy" on the wall, wich left me wondering who's jazzy..

this is a real well thought out photo with the people in the boat in the middle of the picture, the wall and the bank on ether side draw the eye into it, and plus the river or whatever it is that they are on looks mingin i just want to push them into it and laugh..

stephen gill image from billbourds
looks to be taken in russia or somewhere like that but actualy taken in london
i like the idea that the book that this was published in (hackney wick) is accompanied by a body of work, and not a body of work with a book to accompany it. its quite an unusual way of working

this is my fav trent parke photo, i feel as though i am
there in the pouring rain, with it bouncing off my head
and running down my face.
i like this quality that he gets in his work, putting
you in the photo with him by drawing on your experience's and
making you part of the photo.
i do really like bad weather shots.

Henri Cartier-Bresson. perhaps one the most influential
photographers ever, one of the founders of Magnum
Photography, the movement in this photo i find catching
my eye every time i look at it also he's court the reflections
on the water which appair to be sharper more defined than
the actual objects..
